The Saint Charles Parish Website was designed and is maintained by Julie Sines, a lifelong parishioner of Saint Charles Parish.
These photos represents the beginning of my life as a member of the Roman Catholic faith and as a member of Saint Charles Parish.

I am being held by my
Godmother, Mildred Bove.
My Godfather, Louis Bove looks on.
Rest in peace, Millie and Louie!

Father Nugent was the baptizing priest. The same baptismal font is still used at Saint Charles.
About the webmaster...
I was born in Bellows Falls, Vermont in 1955 and baptized at Saint Charles Parish a few weeks later. I lived in Castleton, Vermont for a few years during my childhood. I received my First Communion at Saint John the Baptist Parish in Castleton from Fr. Connor. In 1962, my family returned to Bellows Falls, where my dad, Gerald McCarthy, continued his profession as a high school history teacher and my mom, Ruth McCarthy, was an "RN" at the Rockingham Memorial Hospital. My sister, Kathleen, and I attended Saint Charles School. I was confirmed in 1968 by Bishop Joyce, here at St. Charles.
I am a 1973 graduate of Bellows Falls Union High School, a graduate of The College of Saint Joseph the Provider in Rutland (BS in 1977), and a graduate of Antioch University (M.Ed. in 1980).
I have been employed by the Town of Rockingham School Department as a Special Education Teacher at the Bellows Falls Middle School since 1977, recently completing year #31!
My involvement with Saint Charles Parish, in addition to being the webmaster, includes being a Eucharistic Minister, Perpetual Adoration Chapel Adorer, 9th grade Religious Education teacher, and the Director of Religious Education. I have been involved in "Youth Ministry" since my own participation in "CYO" in the '70's. I am forever grateful for Fr. Tinney's (currently pastor of St. Pius X in Essex, VT) work with the youth of the parish when I was young. His encouragement for us to "get involved in our Catholic faith" began my committment to youth and programs to bring them into closer relationship with God.
Fr. Ball married David Sines and I, also at Saint Charles Church. David currently works as an independent home designer. He recently became "Past Grand Knight" of the local council of the Knights of Columbus, and is past president of the Greater Springfield Area Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
Our older son, Christopher, 24, is employed by Kurn Hattin Homes in Westminster, VT. He is also a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a certified Fire Fighter.
Our younger son, Jonathan, 22, is a 2008 graduate of American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he majored in Biology, with plans to become a 'physician assistant'. He served as a "peer mentor" while at AIC.
We enjoy the companionship of our three much-loved pets, six-year-old "Willow", a 26 pound "Vermont Barn Cat" (the vet lists him as a domestic longhair), Mocha, our energetic three-year-old Weimeraner, and Chenelle, a one-year old tri-colored "mini kitty".

I had never worked in web design prior to developing this site. I thoroughly enjoyed the learning process, and enjoy maintaining the site.

Anyone with suggestions for improving the site, or comments, please email me at stchas@sover.net.

Just had to include the picture wearing my "Catholic School Uniform". This was Kindergarten at Saint Mary's in Fair Haven.

Mocha is not your typical pup. At 80 pounds, she insists she's a "lap dog".
